Glenamaddy Community Development Company (GCDC) was formed in 1995. It is “committed to the social, economic, physical, environmental and cultural development of the Glenamaddy area to its optimum potential for the greater good of its people” . The primary aim of GCDC is to generate extra opportunities for local employment and to create an atmosphere in the community of self-help

Activities include: Provision of a range of education and training programmes in its Community Information Technology and Business Services Centre, support to local community and voluntary groups in completing business plans, project plans, funding applications etc., Tee Shirt printing facilty, provision of administration and offices services to local community and production of a community magazine. 

A full-time Projects Manager Janette Slattery plus five administrative staff (Ann Molloy, Mary McDermott, Teresa Breheny, Helen Dunne, Eileen Costello (in-house IT Trainer) support the committee team.

GCDC has a voluntary Board of Directors (7) guiding the development and implementation of the organisation’s work who are drawn from the local community.  They represent their community’s interests and provide energy and ideas for the work of GCDC.
